ISG Leaders to Address Business of IT at 2016 TBM Conference

STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Services Group (ISG) (NASDAQ: III), a leading technology insights, market intelligence and advisory services company, will take a leading role in the 2016 Technology Business Management (TBM) Conference, November 7-10, at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. In addition to being an Alliance Partner for this year's conference, ISG will deliver its own insights and experience in separate sessions on digital transformation and driving meaningful business value from IT investments.

The TBM conference brings together top speakers and leading practitioners of TBM in a series of informative sessions, offering attendees the opportunity to learn more about how to implement TBM, a widely adopted discipline aimed at managing the business of IT, while gaining an insider's view on how TBM has successfully ushered in transformation with measurable, positive results.

"We're pleased to be once again participating in the TBM Conference," said Todd Lavieri, president of ISG Americas, Australia and New Zealand. "As a methodology for forging a tighter relationship between IT and the business, TBM has consistently driven measurable value by helping corporate leaders better understand the business value of IT spending, and this year we'll show precisely how this practice benefits the bottom line."

On Wednesday, November 9, at 4:30 p.m., Steve Hall, partner, ISG Digital Advisory Services, will moderate a panel discussion on "Delivering Results for an Even Greater Good." The discussion brings together a group of CIOs passionate about the fight against cancer to discuss how managing the business of technology helps save lives and fight this dread disease. "During this event, we'll discuss how business and technology leaders have prioritized their teams' responsibilities to fight this killer disease with new technology investments and initiatives designed to drive savings and make the most of new investments," said Hall.

On Thursday, November 10, at 10:15 a.m., Alex-Paul Manders, ISG's TBM Practice lead and a global thought leader on TBM, will lead a breakout session on "Digital Transformation with a Strategic TBM Strategy." During this sessin, Manders will provide an overview of strategic considerations for driving a TBM-driven digital initiative. "To take full advantage of digital transformation, IT leaders will have to be more agile when making decisions," said Manders. "During this breakout session, I'll provide an inside view of ISG's strategic approach to managing IT transformation in the areas of data, analytics, governance and technology." During the session, Manders will also illustrate how the TBM taxonomy helped a firm develop an "augmented reality" business case, showing how a digital consumer experience could generate multiple value streams.

ISG is a prominent thought leader on the subject of TBM. In addition to continuing participation in the TBM Conference, ISG also recently partnered with the TBM Council as Alliance Partner for the TBM Australian Summit. ISG has also played a key role in the IT COST (Cost, Opportunity, Strategy and Transparency) report, which was created by the TBM Council, the OMB, and the Deputy Administrator for E-Government and Information Technology. The report, in response to the Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) of 2014, showed how the U.S. government could save nearly $6 billion in technology spending by applying TBM practices.

ISG helps clients better understand the business value of IT spending, make better and more strategic buying decisions, and close the gap that often exists between IT and business.
