A "turbo-charged" version of Slavin's latest New York appearance, the concert will feature a four-piece jazz combo and a two-act performance spotlighting some of the best "saloon" songs of the classic jazz tradition, including timeless material by Great American Songbook legends Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Burton Lane, Jimmy Van Heusen, George and Ira Gershwin and others. The popular singer has racked up numerous awards and glowing reviews across the country and overseas. His CDs are programmed on traditional and internet radio stations in the USA, Europe and Asia. He is currently featured on the "Singers and Swing" channel of cable TV's Music Choice network, as well as Spotify (News - Alert) and most other major online music sites. Slavin's newest CD, "You Gotta Have Heart: Live at The Metropolitan Room in New York," was executive-produced by Paul Boskind, who won a Tony Award for his production of the Broadway revival of "The Normal Heart" in 2011.
