Flashpoint Appoints Jennifer Leggio as Chief Marketing Officer

NEW YORK, Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Flashpoint, the global leader in Business Risk Intelligence (BRI) from the Deep & Dark Web, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Leggio as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Leggio brings nearly 20 years of experience in security and technology marketing and communications to the role after previously holding leadership positions at Digital Shadows, Cisco, Sourcefire, and Fortinet. As CMO, she will lead Flashpoint's marketing initiatives while focusing on strategic growth and accelerating the market's adoption of BRI.

"I've spent the past 18 months working with buyers and influencers to better understand their threat intelligence needs, and it's become strikingly clear that Business Risk Intelligence is what organizations are seeking to enable their broader business functions to make informed decisions that mitigate risk and improve operations," Leggio said. "Flashpoint's offerings appeal to much more than cybersecurity groups, as the relevance and focus of the company's intelligence is highly applicable to diverse teams. The company's rapid growth, market influence, impressive customer traction, and world-class management team make this the exact right time to join Flashpoint. I look forward to accelerating the company's brand awareness and customer adoption as we spread BRI across the enterprise."

Leggio specializes in helping startups and early-stage security companies establish positioning, cultivate thought leadership, and bolster go-to-market strategies while defining new markets or disrupting established ones to help shape the security industry. Most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Digital Shadows, she previously was Senior Director of Security Market Strategy and Marketing at Cisco. She joined Cisco through the $2.7 billion acquisition of Sourcefire, where she was Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Leggio was also the Director of Corporate Communications at Fortinet, where she helped drive messaging, communications and digital media strategy through the company's IPO.

Leggio's appointment reaffirms Flashpoint's continued attraction of industry-leading talent. In June, the company appointed Chris Camacho, previously Senior Vice President of Global Information Security at Bank of America, as Chief Strategy Officer. In the same month, the company also welcomed Tom Hofmann, formerly Cyber Intelligence Lead at PNC, as its Vice President of Intelligence. And earlier this month, Flashpoint announced that Brian Costello, previously Vice President of Public Sector Sales at Invincea, joined the company as Vice President, Global Sales & Solution Architecture.

"We're thrilled to welcome Jennifer to the team," affirmed Flashpoint CEO Josh Lefkowitz. "She joins us at just the right time to help us raise awareness of Business Risk Intelligence and its increasing variety of use cases across different verticals and business functions. With Q3 reflecting this trend by exceeding our targets, Jennifer and her team are poised to capitalize on that momentum and bring BRI to an even broader audience."
