Tecore Networks Awarded Contract To Supply Its 4G LTE Core In The Marshall IslandsTecore (News - Alert) Networks, a pioneer supplier of innovative mobile network infrastructure, today announced that its Mobility Virtualized Platform ® (MVP) has been selected by Blue Arcus Technologies for deployment in the Marshall Islands. Tecore's MVP was selected based on its scalability and capabilities of the LTE (News - Alert) Core Network upon the completion of an intensive evaluation. In addition, the platform includes the Mobility Management Entity (MME), Serving Gateway (News - Alert) (SGW), Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), Voice over LTE and Circuit Switched Fallback to the existing GSM network. The new LTE network will greatly improve telecommunications in a region that has long been underserved due to its remote location in the Pacific. "The unique environment and remote location are a key factor that had to be considered for this project.
