At the grand opening, Metis will reaffirm its commitment to diversity in tech by introducing a new $3,000 bootcamp scholarship for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer applicants. Currently, Metis provides bootcamp scholarships for women, underrepresented demographic groups, and veterans or members of the U.S. military. Metis's recent opening in Chicago represents the latest in a series of expansions for the data science training provider, including its expansion to San Francisco, the acquisition of Booz Allen Hamilton's (News - Alert) Explore Data Science program, and the hiring of noted data scientist Dr. Deborah Berebichez.
