Toshiba to Showcase Storage Solutions at Inaugural Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) Conference

Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC), a committed technology leader, will take part in Silicon Valley's first HyperConverged Infrastructure (HCI) Conference, being held at Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) US Solution Center in San Jose, tomorrow, Oct. 6. Jeff (Shigeo) Ohshima, SSD Technology Executive, Storage & Electronic Devices Solutions at Toshiba (News - Alert), is scheduled to lead a breakout session during the event. Jeff is one of the world's foremost experts in Flash Memory and was a featured keynote speaker at this year's Flash Memory Summit.

At the HCI Conference, Toshiba will demonstrate the new Toshiba PX05S Serial-Attached SCSI (SAS (News - Alert)) enterprise solid drives, the PX04P Enterprise PCIe®¹ NVMe SSDs, the HK4 Enterprise SATA SSDs and the AL14SE enterprise HDDs.

• The PX05S series delivers high reliability, high performance and low power usage. The PX05S allows seamless integration of up to 4TB² into 2.5 inch sockets requiring more performance than SATA and socket compatibility with HDDs.
• The PX04P series features a 2.5 inch form factor and SFF-8639 connector and are available in one-half height, one-half length PCIe Add-in-card form factor. These NVMe SSDs are well suited for the maximum performance user.
• The HK4 series delivers up to 1.92TB of Flash based torage with high reliability, consistent latency and a low power usage for value focused applications.
• The AL14SE 10K rpm HDD line is optimized for applications requiring a balance between reduced latency and low cost for storage capacity. Designed for mission critical duty-cycles and performance, the AL14SE HDD models align well with hyper-converged platform use cases using both SSD and HDD together for optimum performance capacity.
