IMS's First China-USA Internet Celebrity Summit Has Built Up A Platform For Internet Celebrity All Around The World


SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 25, the first China-US Internet Celebrity Summit ended with a massive success with China's largest New Media Business Group IMS's hostship. Thanks to the special support from Weibo, YiXia Technology, TopKlout, Sina US, and sponsorship from LeTV, Cheetah Mobile, Dealmoon, Yamibuy, Huawei, and Wei beauty.  The summit invited 20 internet stars from China and the US.

During the summit, Internet stars from both countries had a lot of interactions. Logan Paul, who has 9.4 million followers on Vine, interacted with Aikelili, one of the most popular Weibo stars. Yichen Ding, the Chinese cartoonist, created a comic portrait for Jake Paul, another Vine star with over 5.2 million followers. Xiao Cang, China's most succesful game commentator, interacted with Smosh Game members. During the demo show, Yalan Mu and Thomas, who's also known as Son-in-law of Shanghai shared their off-stage stories. Lucia Liu, Inno Chocolate, Marcus and Lucas Dobre, Alissa Violet, Lily Marston, and Cassandra Bankson also joined the celebrity show.



The summit also arranged discussion panels for social media experts and investors. The list includes Liying Tian, VP of Channel Marketing at Sina Weibo, LinFei Hou, Operations Director at LeEco, Helene Dina, representative from Defy Media, and Stuart La Brooy, representative from Motif, as well as investors including Michael Ma, General Partner of Liquid 2 Ventures, and Wei Guo, Investor of TianShi and founder of Micro Fund.

Based on the statistics from Weibo Sina, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Vine, IMS and TopKlout named 6 awards, including Best New Artist, Best Comedy Artist, Most Innovative Artist, Versatile Artist Award, Outstanding Fashion Icon, and Audience's Choice Award. Larry Namer, the founder of E! Entertainment Television and Movies USA Magazine, presented the awards.


IMS will host another internet celebrity summit in Japan in October, and the first Internet Celebrity Musical Festival in Hainan, China in March, 2017. IMS aims to stimulate the growth of the internet celebrity economy.
