Through this integration, academic organizations and biopharmaceutical companies with biobanks that are storing samples for research discovery through development now have a single software solution with the ability to view study, patient and consent management data that is linked to sample inventory audit trail tracking and storage data. It is expected that BioStudies will be commercially available in January 2017 and will be delivered to users either on premise, as a hosted application or as part of a service model encompassing physical sample management.
