"I am honored to announce that Rob Eleveld will become Whitepages' Chief Executive Officer," said Algard. "Rob is a natural leader and has played an integral role in Whitepages' transformation over the last three years. I feel lucky to have somebody with sch integrity, strategic vision, and a proven ability to execute step into the CEO role. I am excited about Rob advancing the company to greater success for many years to come."

Eleveld was hired in 2013 as Vice President, Enterprise Sales and quickly promoted to General Manager of Whitepages Pro, the Company's B2B business unit that offers identity verification SaaS (News - Alert) products. He has worked closely with Algard to grow Whitepages Pro from just a few customers to more than 2,000 enterprises today, including Wells Fargo (News - Alert), Priceline, Under Armour, Microsoft, Western Union, and American Airlines.

Prior to joining Whitepages, Eleveld was CEO of Optify (News - Alert) where he transformed the business from a professional services-based model to a SaaS marketing platform. He also served as CEO of Shiftboard, was the co-founder and CEO of Vykor, and served for five years as a nuclear submarine officer in the United States Navy. Eleveld earned his MBA and MSE from Stanford University. He also holds a bachelor's degree in engineering sciences from Dartmouth College.

"I feel very privileged to step into the CEO role at Whitepages and am honored to carry on the legacy of the Company's founder," said Eleveld. "I welcome this opportunity to lead Whitepages through its next phase of growth and am very optimistic about what lies ahead for us."

Founder Alex Algard purchased the Whitepages.com domain for $900 in 1996, and started the website out of his Stanford University dorm that same year. Initially developed as a destination for people to find each other and connect, Whitepages has transformed its business model over the past three years from a nearly 100% ad-based business to a subscription-driven business. This transformation took place initially via Whitepages Pro for businesses and more recently with the launch of Whitepages Premium for consumers.
