Michigan's Wayne County Goes Live with Tyler Technologies' New World Corrections SolutionTyler Technologies, Inc. Wayne County jails are using the New World solution to capture, archive, sort, and report on various operations, increasing the amount of data available and transparency for internal and external stakeholders. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office, which operates the county's jail system, chose Tyler's New World corrections system in part because leaders valued the customization opportunities of a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution to help create efficiencies and increase data access. Wayne County also saw how the New World solution's reporting capabilities give staff, directors and county leaders expanded reports and pertinent information related to inmates and incident tracking. As a robust, configurable system, the New World solution helps Wayn County automate daily jail functions across three facilities, which helps better manage the inmate population. Wayne County jails house more than 2,000 inmates daily, with an average intake and release of more than 34,000 inmates annually. Wayne County, with approximately 1.8 million residents, is Michigan's most populous county.
