Lattice Semiconductor Launches "Lattice Hackathon: Small FPGAs. Big Possibilities" Contest for the Maker Community

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:LSCC), the leading provider of customizable smart connectivity solutions, today announced that it is hosting a contest for the Maker Community to develop the next big mobile application. The "Lattice Hackathon: Small FPGAs. Big Possibilities" contest promotes the creation of mobile application devices that leverage Lattice's field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technologies including iCE40™, Mach XO™, ECP5™ and CrossLink™ product families.

The top three winners will receive a round-trip flight, hotel accommodations and access pass to CES (News - Alert)^® 2017 in Las Vegas. The grand prize winner will also receive $5,000, as well as an opportunity to demonstrate their solution at Lattice's booth at CES 2017.

Submissions are now being accepted through Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, and will be judged based on uniqueness, functionality, resource utilization and market value. Voting by a panel of Lattice judges will take place Dec. 15, 2016 to select the top three submissions, including the grand prize winner. Participants must be able to attend CES 2017 and be present at Lattice Semiconductor's booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center for one to two hours a day during the show to be eligible to win the Grand Prize of $5,000 USD. How to Participate:

• Contest Dates - Register to qualify by Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Submissions will be accepted thru Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
• Requirements - Submissions must:
  • Use a Lattice product
  • Solve a real-world problem targeting mobile (battery powered) consumer products
• Technology - Submissions must showcase the benefit of Lattice's FPGA technology for mobile applications
• Criteria - Submissions will be judged on the following criteria:
  • Unique solution with competitive edge
  • Impactful demonstration of functionality
  • High device resource utilization
  • Market value assessment
