Mason-Based ConnXus Named Technology Sponsor for International Minority Supplier Development Conference

MASON, Ohio, Sept. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ConnXus, a six-year-old supplier diversity software company based in Mason, Ohio, today announced that they are the official technology sponsor for the 2016 global Minority Supplier Development Council United Kingdom (MSDUK) Conference being held September 20-22 in London, England. The conference is a three-day global supplier diversity and inclusive procurement event to be attended by over 600 delegates from Australia, Canada, China, South Africa, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

"Our involvement in the MSDUK conference is a growth driver for our business," remarked Rod Robinson, ConnXus founder and CEO. "Through the relationships and trust built there, we will expand our footprint in the global procurement market as we continue our plan to disrupt the $10 billion supply chain software market.  More than money though, it is also giving us the opportunity to ensure our diversity practices are inclusive of a global workforce."

Recently named Ohio's 2016 Early Stage Company of the Year, ConnXus contributes its rapid, impressive growth to its state-of-the-art, cloud-based technology featuring 1.7 million diverse suppliers and certifications, and the power of partnerships.

"Without the establishment of key local, national, and global partnerships, we could not have seized the opportunity to sponsor the MSDUK conference and raise our recent $5 million Series 'A' funding round," noted Daryl Hammett, ConnXus Chief Operations Officer. We take great pride in moving beyond talent, capital, and customers to build lasting, meaningful relationships."

The president of The Social Entrepreneurs Fund and investor in ConnXus' Series "A" round, Liz Luckett, also finds value in the transparency that ConnXus brings to corporate supply chain diversity. She states, "ConnXus offers insight beyond diversity ownership to shed light on employment trends in small businesses by region and vertical industry—a great value to large corporations seeking to leverage supply chain spend to demonstrate their role in job creation across diverse demographics."

For Wendy Lea, CEO of Cincinnati-based Cintrifuse, ConnXus' ability to sponsor the MSDUK conference alongside other major organizations such as Procter & Gamble, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Metlife, Capital One, and the Coca-Cola Company comes as no surprise. "Scaling a startup takes hard work - and it's a road you can't go down all on your own.  Rod and his team at ConnXus have built a formidable partnership strategy that lets them leverage outside resources so they can focus on what they do best.  It's a strategy I wish more entrepreneurs would embrace," she said.

It is this level of sophistication and innovation that Mayank Shah, President of MSDUK, is looking forward to sharing with attendees at next week's conference. "We are excited to partner with companies like ConnXus, which are at the forefront of supplier diversity data and reporting management, in order to achieve our goals of sharing knowledge and developing connections."
