Telit LTE CAT-1 and CAT-4 IoT Modules Available for T-Mobile's Network

Telit, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced that its LTE (News - Alert) category 1 (CAT-1) LE910-NA1 and category 4 (CAT-4) LE910-NA V2 IoT modules are available to deploy on T-Mobile's (News - Alert) nationwide 4G LTE network. The CAT-1 module series serves customers requiring a mid-speed, low-power, long life-cycle mobile data solution for new or existing cellular-connected devices. The LE910-NA1 delivers quad-band CAT-1 support and the LE910-NA V2 delivers quad-band CAT-4 support with network fallback for IoT applications requiring high-speed data. Both products are now available for use on T-Mobile as they continue their roll out of IoT-focused LTE commercial services in North American markets.

Both the LE910-NA1 and NA V2 conform to the xE910 form factor, Telit's most versatile and comprehensive product family and the only in the market to include the full range of cellular technologies (GPRS, UMTS, HSPA, CDMA EV-DO and LTE CAT-x). The new LTE products are drop-in compatible replacements for the family's 2G and 3G models.

"For Telit it is critical to have our flagship LTE CAT-1 modules available to T-Mobile customers, and with a dramatically simplified device certification process, T-Mobile is making it easy for companies to embrace the IoT revolution," said Mike Ueland (News - Alert), President of Telit Americas. "The availability of our LE910 CAT-1 series paves the way for developers and integrators to leverage the standard's current capabilities and streamline the evolution of their products with the benefits from emerging 3GPP M2M/IoT standards in the near future."

"Listening to and solving for customer's wireless needs, particularly as they transition their IoT solutions from 2G to 4G LTE, is what separates T-Mobile from the carriers who take an unforgiving 'our way or the highway' approach to the market," said Doug Chartier, senior vice president, IoT, Wholesale and National Retail at T-Mobile. "With Telit's LTE Cat-1 module, available on T-Mobile's fast, nationwide 4G LTE network, we're helping deliver network-based solutions with cost-savings and longevity to bring today's IoT products in to the future. Customers ask, we deliver - plain and simple."
