Frost & Sullivan Commends Voipfuture's Offer of a Voice Quality Monitoring Solution that Measures Service Experience to Gauge Network Performance

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California, Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the voice quality monitoring industry, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Voipfuture GmbH (Voipfuture) with the 2016 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Leadership. The innovative attributes and functionalities of Voipfuture's proprietary solution, Qrystal 5.0, have given it a strong lead in the global voice quality monitoring market. It is the industry's first platform that combines the capabilities of both real-time transport protocol (RTP) and session initiation protocol (SIP) platforms in a single unified solution for use in call quality monitoring as well as performance evaluation and control.

Qrystal 5.0's pioneering core technology, RTP stream slicing technology, enables customers to monitor call quality and project mean opinion score (MOS) value based on '5 second slices.' The MOS value is then matched against more than 400 metrics, which are comprised of dedicated key performance indices (KPIs) for monitoring Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) quality. The results allow system administrators and network engineers to instantly view the quality and exact location of an issue and rectify it immediately. Competing solutions, on the other hand, address network issues separately. By aiding rapid network performance optimization, the solution reduces customers' overall operational expenditure and ensures loyalty to the service provider.

"The Qrystal 5.0 presents a full view of quality, covering MOS values and hang-up causes, the way quality develops during a call, the factors that affect user experience, and the users that are affected by network issues," said Frost & Sullivan Program Manager Olga Yashkova. "Its broad monitoring of service quality detects connections between all types of events on the control and media plane."

Qrystal 5.0 uses the huge body of data on two levels. Upwards, it aggregates, groups, and correlates data, delivering a clear and highly accurate overview of KPI level and input for service level agreements. Downwards, it offers a highly structured richness of information down to the 5-second level. This includes the ability to check the quality of one stream of one call or relate impairment metrics or impairment patterns to destinations, routes, trunks, or eNodeBs. It helps customers identify the reasons for inferior network performance and the periods of poor quality in terms of connectivity at the beginning of the call, call drops, voice breaks, and cross talk.

Voipfuture's voice quality monitoing solution can be easily deployed in next-generation networks (NGNs), IP multimedia subsystems (IMS), and Long-term Evolution (LTE) networks. Customers can opt for any standard, ready-to-use server hardware from leading vendors to integrate with Voipfuture's solution, which translates to a very short deployment time.

"Voipfuture's customers receive best-in-class service experience from the company in the form of lean structures, access to experts, and high responsiveness to customer requests," noted Yashkova "This top-notch assistance has gone a long way in fostering lasting relationships and innovation partnerships with key customers. Additionally, Voipfuture has built a globally extensive service chain through its partners around the globe."

Voipfuture clearly understands the industry's strong inclination towards VoIP services, which is evident from the replacement of legacy networks with VoIP. It has harnessed the opportunity to help customers offer high-quality voice calls by adopting a top-down approach, which has given it a solid first-mover advantage in the global market.

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has demonstrated excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for its customers with a focus on improving the return on the investment that customers make in its services or products. The award recognizes the company's inordinate focus on enhancing the value that its customers receive, beyond simply good customer service, leading to improved customer retention and ultimately, customer base expansion.

Frost & Sullivan's Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for outstanding achievement in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research.
