Online School Welcomes Students Back to Virtual Classroom

Students with The George Washington University Online High School (GWUOHS), an online college preparatory academy, will begin the 2016-17 academic year on September 7.

GWUOHS is an online college preparatory academy for motivated students who are willing to be challenged to become the best students and persons they can be. By combining the award-winning curriculum provided by K12 Inc. (NYSE: LRN) with small class sizes and intensive college counseling, students receive a flexible, personalized education attuned to their own needs and goals.

Available to students in grades 6-12, GWUOHS provides students with a flexible, personalized education that meets their individual academic goals. The dedicated, certified teachers deliver quality instruction through engaging web-based lessons along with instructional materials - books, videos, CDs and other hands-on tools and resorces - which are shipped directly to each student's home.

Additionally, GWUOHS counselors work with each student to develop an Individualized Academic Plan (IAP). The IAP is a roadmap that captures each student's academic goals, and counselors help ensure students meet their goals by taking full advantage of the range of course offerings with GWUOHS.

"GWUOHS faculty and staff are excited for a new school year," said Alison Mistretta, Head of School for The George Washington University Online High School. "In addition to our high-quality college-prep curriculum, our unique Journeys program is the centerpiece for preparing students for entrance into their college of choice and preparation for life as a global citizen. We are ready to support our new and returning students to achieve their goals."

Enrollment is still open for the GWUOHS 2016-17 academic school year, and all interested families are encouraged to visit http://www.gwuohs.com/ for more information, as well as details on upcoming community events and online information sessions.
