VarageSale adds to senior leadership team with hiring of new VP of Engineering


TORONTO, Aug. 24, 2016 /CNW/ - VarageSale, the family-friendly app to buy and sell used items locally, has expanded its senior management team with the addition of Craig Dunk as Vice President of Engineering.

With over 15 years of experience in developing cutting-edge mobile applications and services, Dunk will lend deep management and technical leadership to VarageSale's growing team. He joins from Desire2Learn (D2L), which raised $85M in their latest round of funding from Omers Ventures, where he was VP of Product Architecture. Dunk joined the D2L team via the acquisition of his mobile video startup Metranome. He started his career at Research in Motion, where he was employee #50 and built nd scaled BlackBerry Messenger (BBM).

In his new role, Dunk will oversee all engineering functions including Software Development, QA and DevOps.


Dunk attended both the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo where he studied Engineering.
