IDVector Emerges from Stealth with Privacy Focused Secure Public Internet Access Offering

IDVector, a secure Internet access provider, today emerged from stealth mode with a simple and unobtrusive way to safely and securely access the Internet without fear of data interception or data leaks. With IDVector, every connection you make online is secured from unauthorized observation, whether tethering to your phone, using the mobile app, or the nearest free Wi-Fi hotspot.

IDVector is the brainchild of Co-Founders Ben Baumgartner and Andrew Boyce and comes from Kyrus Tech, the cyber security incubator that launched Carbon Black and Red Canary. Baumgartner and Boyce first met while working as Defense Contractors where the two were responsible for building and managing Attribution Management systems and tradecraft. Baumgartner and Boyce later collaborated at Kyrus Tech, where IDVector went from idea to reality.

"Public Wi-Fi and ubiquitous Internet access have become a technology staple in our daily lives. Whether you are traveling on a business trip, meeting at a coffee shop, or in a hotel lobby, Internet access is assumed - security, however, is not," said Benjamin Baumgartner, Co-Founder and CEO of IDVector. "Any public access point to the Internet is a potentialavenue for malicious actors to observe your data - from log-in credentials to eavesdropping on your conversations. There are many steps between you and the online services you use, not all of which are adequately secured. IDVector secures that gap, protecting you, your data, and your identity."

IDVector creates a secure and private connection from your computer to the Internet through any network - trusted or not. IDVector encrypts all of your Internet traffic and seamlessly redirects it through the IDVector ephemeral VPN network. A simple web interface allows you to customize exactly how your data flows through the IDVector network and in which geographic region it egresses to the Internet. When coupled with simple tradecraft, IDVector becomes a powerful tool for preventing others from tracing the origin of your network traffic.

"As a globally distributed business, our road warriors are dependent on closest and easiest Wi-Fi they can access," said IDVector customer Gene Skiba, COO of AS Global. "IDVector allows my team to get online quickly and, most importantly, securely. It gives me confidence knowing that regardless of where I am in the world, I can access corporate resources and communicate with my team without anyone else listening in."

"There are numerous VPN-based services available to choose from. IDVector differentiates itself with its technically adept yet simple system for client access. The IDVector solution and platform work together allowing users privacy, security, and a level of anonymity. User provisioning is done through the cloud while identity for billing is handled over a separate channel away from the normal Internet traffic and IDVector supports user designated geo-location for additional protection. The solution is well thought out and protects users from a multitude of Wi-Fi and other security attacks commonly seen using untrusted Wi-Fi access," said David Monahan, Senior Security Analyst, EMA (News - Alert).

About IDVector

IDVector was designed from the ground-up to be a scalable platform providing privacy, security and anonymity in a simple and easy to use form factor. Co-Founders, Ben Baumgartner, CEO, and Andrew Boyce, CTO, launched IDVector in 2016 to address the issue of secure Internet access on-the-go. As former cybersecurity defense contractors, Baumgartner and Boyce collaborated to develop a physical and mobile solution to the secure Internet access conundrum.
