QuickBase Appoints Two New Members to its Board of Directors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Aug. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QuickBase Inc., a leading low-code application development platform, today announced that Robert Hughes, former President of Worldwide Operations at Akamai, and Gray Hall, CEO of Alert Logic, will join its board of directors.

"Robert and Gray are highly experienced and respected executives in the industry with a track record for successfully leading organizations through periods of rapid growth," said Allison Mnookin, CEO, QuickBase. "Their expertise will be invaluable as we continue to scale our organization and lead the industry with our low-code platform, which offers our 6,000 customers unparalleled ease-of-use and speed of deployment for custom business applications."

With more than 12 years in executive leadership roles at Akamai, Hughes was responsible for leading global sales, services and marketing operations. During his tenure, he helped establish Akamai as the market leader in content delivery network (CDN) services. Hughes led the company's global expansion efforts, managed all aspects of the customer experience, and shaped the direct and indirect sales model as Akamai diversified its channel strategy.

As CEO of Alert Logic since 2009, Hall has grown the organization from $10 million in revenue to more than $100 million. During this time he shifted the company's focus to target cloud service providers and led a number of strategic acquisitions. Previously, Hall served as CEO and co-founder of VeriCenter, a managed hosting provider, which was sold to SunGard Data Systems in 2007.

"I am honored to join the QuickBase board and help guide the management team during this pivotal time," said Hughes. "During my tenure at Akamai, we grew revenues from $90 million to more than $2 billion by expanding into new channels and geographic regions. QuickBase is another great example of an organization well-positioned for explosive growth."

"I am delighted to serve on the QuickBase board and work with its tenured team of senior leaders," said Hall. "QuickBase has a unique opportunity to lead and shape the formation of an exciting and rapidly growing market segment. I look forward to contributing as a member of the board."
