University of Wisconsin-Extension Announces Advisory Boards of Industry Experts


The University of Wisconsin-Extension has formed the 2016-2017 industry advisory boards for collaborative online bachelor's and master's degree programs.

The industry advisory boards consist of professionals who have relevant experience in the field-business leaders from Johnson Controls, Oshkosh Corporation, American Family Insurance, UW Health, CUNA, Ministry Health and other employers-who meet twice a year to help ensure that the online curriculum achieves quality and aligns with current employment needs.

"Industry advisory boards have been a crucial component of the online bachelor's and master's programs since their launch in 2009," said David Schejbal, a dean of University of Wisconsin-Extension. "Often, there is a gap between what is learned through educational programs and what students need to get a job in their fields. Our advisory boards bridge that gap for collaborative online degree students."

Industry advisory board members serve a renewable 2-year term, with some leaders having served since each degree's inception. The 2016-2017 industry advisory board members include:
