Frankly Signs Multi-Year Agreements with Rural Media Group and SNJ Today


New Wins Accelerate Company's Expansion from its Core Local TV Broadcasting Market into all Digital Media Verticals

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 23, 2016 /CNW/ -- Frankly Inc. (TSX VENTURE: TLK) (Frankly), a leading content, engagement and monetization platform for brands and media companies, has signed multi-year agreements with both Rural Media Group and SNJ Today.

Nashville-based Rural Media Group (RMG) is the world's leading provider of multimedia content dedicated to the rural and Western lifestyle. Through its distribution networks, the content provider reaches more than 100 million homes worldwide across various media, print, and online channels, including RFD-TV, Rural Media Group's flagship network, the nation's first 24-hour television network dedicated entirely to agribusiness, rural lifestyles, and traditional entertainment and music. RMG also operates RURAL RADIO Channel 147 on SiriusXM and FamilyNet.

Rural Media Group recently renewed its three-year contract with Frankly to continue using the company's content management system (CMS) and hosting solutions for all RMG properties. In addition, RFD-TV will begin using Frankly's online video services and website development expertise to enrich its content library and overall customer experience.

Frankly's other multi-year agreement is with SNJ Today, a southern New Jersey news and information source based in Millville, New Jersey. Across its TV, newspaper, and radio properties, SNJ Today delivers local news, information, weather data, entertainment, and other content relevant to southern New Jersey.

SNJ Today selected Frankly to be its provider of multimedia platform services, including CMS, advertising, mobile apps, over-the-top (OTT) apps, and online video and website management. Frankly will offer a complete multimedia management platform that will help SNJ Today optimize its content creation and sharing processes under one integrated workflow.
