Stephen Bye Named as Rivada Networks CTO


Rivada Networks has announced Stephen Bye (News - Alert) will join the company as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Bye has more than 24 years of senior management experience in network strategy, planning, product development and management, network and technology development, network and device engineering, network operations, construction and deployment, field services, systems integration and testing.

Stephen currently serves as CTO for C Spire, responsible for technology planning, network development, network and device engineering, wireless and fiber network deployment, construction and field services as well as the day-to-day operations of the wireless and fiber-to-the-home networks, serving consumer and business customers. Stephen will help coordinate an orderly transfer of duties at C Spire.

Before joining C Spire, Stephen was the CTO for Sprint (News - Alert), where he was responsible for technology and network innovation, strategy, planning and development. His team was accountable for the network capital investment plan and network operating budget, technology and network engineering and development, product integration, transport and access, domestic and international roaming, network, systems and device testing and field integration.

Stephen has held executive positions with Cox Communications, AT&T, inCode Wireless, BellSouth International, Optus and Telstra (News - Alert).
