Former FBI National Security Branch Lead Joins Guidepost Solutions

Recruited by PG&E in 2013 after retiring from a 23-year career with the FBI, Douglas oversaw security risk mitigation and issue response. She has extensive experience in organizational change, strategic planning, technology implementation, crisis management, physical security, and emergency planning.

At the FBI, Douglas served in a variety of influential roles. Most recently as the Executive Assistant Director, National Security Branch she directed the Bureau's work related to domestic and international counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, weapons of mass destruction and intelligence matters. In this position, Douglas reported to the FBI Director and the Director of National Intelligence. She represented the Bureau in discussions of national security policy along with other U.S. Intelligence Community partners. As part of her management responsibilities, she served as the Chief Intelligence Officer.


Douglas began her career at the FBI as a Special Agent, then Supervisory Special Agent running special investigations and counter espionage operations. She also served as a FBI Inspector managing high profile and politically sensitive investigations; as the Deputy Assistant Director, Counterintelligence, overseeing strategy and budget for the FBI's counterintelligence resources; and as the Special Agent in Charge of the San Francisco Division.

Douglas received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee. She is a member of ASIS International, the International Security Management Association, the Rhode Island Cyber Security Commission and has served as a Senior Advisor for the RANE-Risk Assistance Network Exchange.
