Molex Congratulates Dragon Racing for Strong Finish in 2015-16 Formula E Series

Molex congratulates the Dragon Racing Formula E Team on its strong finish in the 2015-16 Formula E Racing Series. In the final race of the all-electric-car season, Race 10 at the London ePrix on July 3, Dragon Racing driver Jérôme D'Ambrosio placed third and his teammate Loïc Duval fourth after three teams were assessed time penalties for exceeding the permitted energy limit. The Dragon Team, sponsored by Mouser Electronics and Molex, finished fourth in the Series, missing the third-place team standing by just one point. Race 9 also took place at the London ePrix on July 2. Both races were held on the Battersea Park Street Circuit in Battersea Park, London.

"The Dragon Racing team was highly talented and dedicated to not only delivering strong performances but elevating the status of electric vehicles," said Fred Bell, vice president, global distribution, Molex (News - Alert). "The sponsorship team of Molex and Mouser Electronics congratulates the entire group." Bell noted that the companies will sponsor the Dragon Racing team again in the 2016-17 Formula E season as well.

This is the second year that Molex and Mouser Electronics sponsored Formula E racing, a global racing series from Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the governing body for world motor sports. The sport features cars powered exclusively by electric power and represents a vision for the future of the motor sports industry. The Formula E Series serves as a framework for global electric vehicle R&D while accelerating public interest in the cars and promoting sustainability.

"Mouser congratulates everyone connected with the team as well as our valued supplier partner Molex," said Todd McAtee, vice president, Americas business development, Mouser Electronics. "We're proud to sonsor Dragon Racing, and we hope they can build on their success next year."
