SAN RAMON, Calif., Aug. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based productivity and civic engagement solutions for government, today announced a partnership with Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government, Kentucky, to drive a $6 million civic technology implementation of the Accela Civic Platform, reshaping civic services for more than one million citizens and businesses across the area. Once implemented, the Civic Platform solutions will streamline currently resource-intense services throughout Louisville Metro and help the County more efficiently manage land development, categorize government asset work orders and maintenance for the Parks and Recreation department (amongst other departments), spee up all licensing response times, and provide a CRM mobile app where citizens can interact with government agencies and easily report concerns throughout the area.

"In the last year alone, Louisville Metro's population has grown upwards of 3 percent," said Jason Ballard, CIO and Director of Information Technology for Louisville Metro. "To continue serving all citizens and businesses of our expanding community, responsive, flexible civic software is necessary to increase government agency productivity, reduce response times for citizen and business requests, and move more services to an easy-to-navigate online platform. When we evaluated market offerings, Accela was the clear frontrunner in being able to deliver what we needed across the board today and into the future."

"Louisville is the 30th most populous city in America and needed to strengthen its ability to meet an ever-increasing demand by constituents for access to civic services how and when they wanted to conduct business," said Maury Blackman, president and CEO of Accela. "Through the power and integration of the Civic Platform, agency workers throughout Louisville Metro will be able to complete tasks with greater accuracy and speed, while ensuring lines of communication between citizens, businesses and government agencies remain open and transparent. It's about bolstering trust, responsiveness and efficiency, and we are thrilled to be partnering with Louisville to do just that in the greater Metro area."
