"We work in close partnership with our schools, tailoring NetRef to their unique needs and systems, and incorporating feedback from teachers, administrators and IT professionals into our regular upgrades," said George Dotterer, CEO and co-founder of Verite Educational Systems Inc. "For instance, administrators regularly voice concern over whether their EdTech dollars are being spent wisely, so we developed a reporting function that can help them assess the wide array of EdTech software the school employs."

NetRef 3.0 allows teachers to monitor and modify the Internet usage of each and every student with just a couple of clicks. It also gives administrators easily accessible reports on how students and the school as a whole use the Internet, so they can more accurately assess how their EdTech dollars are working. The reports will be beneficial for assessment, budgeting insight, instructional improvement, and even the professional development of teachers as they migrate deeper into the connected classroom.

Dotterer designed NetRef with a team of experts -long-time colleagues with a background in Internet security who shared his deep concern for child Internet safety. They came together to extend their passion and know-how to schools through Verite Educational Systems.

Easy to use and integrate, NetRef has successfully expanded to schools in ten states by helping educators reduce distractions and maximize technology as a teaching tool, with multi-tiered oversight functionality across the school, in the classroom, and by student. NetRef operates with all web browsers, including Microsoft (News - Alert) Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. It also operates with iOS, Android, ChromeBook and Windows-tablets, along with their respective apps. NetRef is integrated into the school's network, allowing students to register without installing anything on their personal devices.
