MasteryConnect Announces Integration with Canvas Learning Management SystemMasteryConnect, a leader in K-12 formative assessment and competency-based learning solutions, announced today that it will now offer a full integration with Canvas, the learning management system (LMS) that makes teaching and learning easier. The integration will be released in August 2016, and will provide a more seamless experience to students and teachers who use both platforms. The integration of MasteryConnect with Canvas will deliver deeper insights into classroom learning by helping educators more easily get the formative assessments they need to identify levels of understanding against any set of standards, including state and Common Core standards. In addition to single sign-on and automatic data pass back, teachers will be able to launch formative assessments created from any of the million standards within the MasteryConnect platform, directly from the Canvas interface. Students will gain a smoother experience by completing these assessments within Canvas. "This partnership will benefit educators using Canvas to deepen their footprint around assessment and formative data," explains Cory Reid, chief executive officer of MasteryConnect. "The integration of the two platforms also delivers the power to track what students know and don't know in real time relative to any set of standards-all from one streamlined interface." MasteryConnect's platform supports educators with formative assessment and professional learning communities (PLC) with solutions to aggregate standards, share standards-aligned resources and assessments, and then assess with grading tools that support scoring performances, multiple choice, technology-enhanced questions, rubrics, oral presentations, writing assignments and more. The integratio into Canvas means an automatic passing of formative assessment and standards data between the MC Tracker and the Canvas Gradebook.
