Grandstream Releases a New Enterprise Gigabit Router and Managed Wi-Fi Access Point for Beta Testing

For this new beta test, the Grandstream Beta Club is looking for dedicated beta testers with extensive experience in routers and WiFi (News - Alert) AP. Ideal applicants are those who have hands-on experience with wireless network deployments, and have extensively used routers and wireless access points from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Aerohive, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Mikrotik, etc.

Grandstream Networks (News - Alert) will be entering the Wi-Fi market with its debut of a Gigabit VPN Router and a managed Wi-Fi Access Point. Grandstream is expanding its product portfolio to include innovative and competitive networking products. In true Grandstream style, these new devices are easy to install and manage; adding a new line of competitive wired/wireless networking products to revolutionize the existing routers and Wi-Fi device market.

This new beta test featres a high performance enterprise-grade multi-WAN Gigabit VPN router with 1M packets/second routing and 10Gbps aggregate switching power. The router features 7 Gigabit ports (2 WAN and 5 LAN ports), 2 USB 3.0 ports, and PoE+. This innovative new router can auto provision and manage hundreds of wireless access points. The router supports various popular VPN protocols including IPSEC, L2TP, PPTP, and OpenVPN with speeds up to 300Mbps. Additionally, the router supports 3rd party printers, NAS devices, and 3G/4G-LTE (News - Alert) dongles through the USB port.



The accompanying managed wireless product is a dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11ac Wi-Fi AP using 3x3:3 MIMO and beam forming technology as well as advanced antenna design to maximize bandwidth, increase signal strength and expand Wi-Fi coverage. The WiFi AP features wireless throughput of up to 1750Mbps, up to 175-meter coverage range, 2 Gigabit network ports, 1 USB port, and PoE/PoE+. Each AP can support 250+ concurrent wireless devices. Additionally, the AP can be auto provisioned and centrally managed through the above-mentioned enterprise router without extra dedicated controller hardware or software.

60 units of the router and WiFi AP each will be available for shipping to selected Beta Club members by the end of July, 2016.


Program Availability & Pricing

Each product beta test released through the Grandstream Beta Club will have a limited number of beta test units available. Application to the Grandstream Beta Club is open to anyone and is FREE. Selection of participants will be determined by Grandstream based on applicant qualification. The cost to participate in a beta test will be $1 to cover handling, however the product model and shipping will be free of charge for each active beta tester. There is no charge to applicants who are not selected for a Beta test.
