A.M. BestTV at The National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters Conference: Converging Forces Are Reshaping Claims Sector

"The only thing consistent about the industry these days is the inconsistency," said T. Mark Nixon, principal, CMI Nixon and Company. "I think that we're going to continue to see a consolidation of independent adjusting companies. The demand these days to get cycle times down, especially when it comes to personal lines, is becoming ever more important so as to get professional claims handled and turned around in a very quick period of time."

Charles Reilly, president, Edward R. Reilly and Company, focused on the technological changes and what this means for the world of adjusting and other industries.

"Reporting requirements are going to be compressed and time is going to be in more demand as the consumer embraces technology and looks for quicker adjudication of claims," said Reilly.

Susan Daniels, president and chief executive officer, Northern Adjusters believes, "managing change and remaining very familar with what's going on in the marketplace, as well as how we as businesses can adapt very swiftly to improve our efficiency, is really important."
