Sitecore® Technology Used for the State of California's Complete Revamp of Its Website, CA.Gov with its Partner SymSoft Solutions

SAUSALITO, Calif., June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sitecore, the global leader in experience management software, today announced that its technology was a critical part of the launch of the State of California's new portal, www.CA.gov, in conjunction with its implementation partner SymSoft Solutions.

California's new statewide portal allows its citizens to access key state services in one site. The portal, www.CA.gov, focuses on the top 50 online services the state offers by federating these services into one location. The site now employs geospatial technology to recognize a user's location to provide customized information, including relevant service locations and personalized imagery. The site is completely mobile-friendly, allowing citizens to access information on any device at any time.

The portal was developed in a joint effort between the Government Operations Agency (GovOps) and the California Department of Technology (CDT). The underlying technology for the content management soluion (CMS) is built on Sitecore through its partnership with SymSoft Solutions.

On the site, California agency profile pages summarize important organizational services, while highlighting accomplishments to engage users with data visualizations. The site provides location information with interactive mapping, as well as quick access to frequently asked questions. CA.gov has structured data and metadata of all government agencies and their services to improve search results. The portal will leverage personalized digital technology to enhance user experience and will be continuously updated as new state services come online.
