New Global Professional Services

The new program provides tailored services to customers at each stage of their big data journey across the Hortonworks Connected Data Platforms portfolio:

  • Foundation Level targets clients looking to cultivate a standard maturity level where technology is the key focus and the environment has one or two use case scenarios. This level consists of the new Quick Start service for Hortonworks DataFlow (HDF™), in addition to ETL Onboard and Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP®) services.
  • Accelerator Level is focused on customers with a strategic vision built on Hortonworks Connected Data Platforms looking to proliferate consistency across their environment with specific emphases on migrations, data platform architecture / strategy and data platform optimization in addition to managed services.
  • Advanced Level is designed for customers who are undergoing a transformational change within their environment and driving to a corporate strategic initiative that is derived by business outcomes. These services consist of the Data and Analytics Center of Excellence and data science advisory services.

New Training Offerings

The following new training programs join the existing Accelerator Level trainings for developers and administrators, and prepare customers to be experts with highly valued and fresh skills:

  • Foundation Level includes HDP Essentials, an instructor-led training delivered online and designed to help any individual develop a basic understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and HDP.
  • Advanced Level training tailored for Apache Spark and Python developers who are looking for deeper knowledge and a certification path to Hortonworks Professional Developer status.

Supporting Quotes

"The Hortonworks training team provided customized, onsite training that was tailored to the needs of our application development team. Having hands-on labs as well as an attentive instructor provided a great learning experience for the team. I highly recommend Hortonworks classroom training to other businesses looking to enhance their Hadoop development skills at any level." – Tom Bryans, Connected Vehicle Delivery Manager, Ford Motor Company

"Like many companies, we were conscious of the fact that data would be our enabler to make better decisions through better insights. But with so many options and many vendors promises, we did not know where to start. Hortonworks was the right partner to guide us through the Hadoop ecosystem, taking the time to help us address our forecasting and analytics requirements and introducing solutions like Apache NiFi that support our seamless data exchange strategy. Hortonworks Professional Services helped us kick start our platform by transforming our proof-of-concept platform into our production platform in less than a week, ultimately helping us put the right architecture, governance and components in place." – Damien Contreras, Enterprise Architect and Innovation Project Manager, Coca-Cola East Japan

"Soleo has engaged in several different HDF workshops with Hortonworks. They have all been very professionally run and contained much pertinent material. We were convinced on the usefulness of HDF in our dataflow management environment, and decided to shift our focus to that technology. The engagement with Hortonworks' Professional Services team has been excellent, and we look forward to our HDF project having great success." – Mike Thorpe, Chief Technology Officer, Soleo

"We turned to Hortonworks Professional Services to build our data lake when we decided to use Hadoop to utilize all our data for fast data analysis. Many companies adopting modern data architectures face similar challenges, and Hortonworks Professional Services is an ideal solution." – Daisuke Ienaka, Senior Deputy Manager, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc.
