Redesigned University of Alaska Fairbanks eLearning Website Caters To Student Needs

FAIRBANKS, Alaska, May 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) eLearning has a new website, and its highest priority is to better serve students. The refreshed design caters to students at every turn, taking the school's ideal of contextual immersion to a new level by providing users three-dimensional access to resources that help them along their journey.

Among the biggest changes are the expansion of individual program pages that provide students more degree-specific details during the decision phase. Another website update is specific to military members and their families, whom now have a dedicated page reflecting their unique needs. Better live chat functions and on-page contact forms will round out the interactive, find-an-answer-fast experience.

"We are thrilled to have an updated website to inform and inspire our students along evry step of their academic adventure," says Marissa Carl-Acosta, UAF eLearning Communications Specialist,. "This redesign couldn't come at a better time, as we are near the 2017 centennial celebration."

Next year's festivities honor the long, rich UAF tradition of serving as Alaska's flagship university. The events will mark a century of teaching, research and service built on the grit and determination of the founders.
