QuickBase Hosts One of the Largest Groups of Citizen Developers at EMPOWER 2016

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QuickBase concluded its EMPOWER 2016 conference with more than 600 people in attendance—a nearly 60 percent increase from 2015.

The leading low-code application development platform provider's annual customer conference aimed to equip citizen developers with education and resources to supercharge their digital transformation initiatives. The conference, which took place in "Music City U.S.A."—Nashville, Tennessee—on May 10-13, 2016, focused on the unification of line of business citizen developers and IT with a variety of breakout sessions, hands-on training, keynotes, panel discussions and after-dark networking parties.

"At our inaugural conference, we brought together our unique set of customers and proved to the market the power of true citizen development," said Allison Mnookin, CEO of QuickBase. "This year's event took that concept even further showcasing customers in both the line of business and IT who have partnered to drive digital transformation. We also celebrated our new independence as a standalone QuickBase, Inc. and gave customers a peek into what's ahead for the platform."

Onsite the company announced its own corporate social responsibility program, "QuickBase Cares." As its first commitment, QuickBase made a donation to one of its non-profit customers— the American Transplant Foundation—and pledged to match attendee donations for up to $10,000 in total.

The company also introduced the QuickBase Training program, featuring instructor-led classes and virtual sessions as well as self-service eLearning, as well as several new integrations offerings and a partnership with enterprise workflow service, Workato.
