MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the managed security service provider (MSSP) market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Fortinet, Inc. with the 2016 North America Frost & Sullivan Award for Market Leadership. In Frost & Sullivan's recent survey of more than 100 network security platforms, Fortinet emerged as the top-ranked North American network security product supplier among MSSPs. Fortinet achieved this dominant position on the strength of its FortiGate line of high-performance firewalls, next-gen firewalls, and unified threat management (UTM) solutions.

Fortinet's FortiGate is well suited to the needs of MSSPs because of its rich set of features. In addition to state-of-the-art firewall functionality, the FortiGate platform has intrusion prevention, antimalware, application control, Web filtering, and advanced threat protection tools.

One of them is to enhance the FortiGate platform to eliminate the need to support th platforms of its competitors. A higher number of vendors for the MSSP translate to higher staffing for the same number of customers and same revenue. By delivering fewer platforms, FortiGate reduces MSSPs' operational expenditures.
