EQUINOX TO SPONSOR AND ATTEND SIPNOC 2016: COMPANY LOOKS FORWARD TO EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today reported their plans to sponsor and attend the upcoming SIP Network Operators Conference (SIPNOC) next month. As a leading business assurance solutions provider to the telecom industry, Equinox is thrilled to be involved in this educational event, which runs from June 21 to June 23 in Herndon, VA, just outside Washington, D.C.

The Equinox technology team is excited to experience the SIPNOC 2016 conference for a number of reasons. Put on by the SIP Forum, which focuses on advancing communications services and products that rely on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), this annual conference offers a wealth of discussion between both providers and carriers who deploy SIP-based technology and services. The conference includes training and general sessions, all of which are geared at sharing best practices and strategies for successfully implementing SIP-based applications. Because the event is not a sales or marketing event, it attracts technical leaders from carriers and MSOs around the world, as well as government and research organization who are involved in major SIP initiatives.

“The SIPNOC 2016 conference is an exciting opportunity for the SIP experts on our technology team to engage with others who face the same implementation challenges of SIP-based communications technology, especially as new opportunities emerge in our industry,” explained Equinox’s Executive Vice President David West. “We are proud to sponsor the conference for the first time this year.” Equinox’s sponsorship and attendance at this educational event centers around their automated fraud management system (FMS) Protector. This application monitors both call detail records and SIP data for malicious and/or unwanted activity. It’s real-time fraud detection includes immediate notification of suspicious events, case investigation tools, and the ability to shut down unwanted activity at the switch. Protector has well earned its reputation by saving carriers hundreds of millions of dollars in annual fraud losses.

SIP Forum President and Managing Director, Marc Robins said, “I am delighted that Equinox is a sponsor of the upcoming SIP Network Operators Conference. By design, the event attracts a diverse group of carriers, service providers, and SIP stakeholders who are all focused on exploring the technical challenges and opportunities of SIP-based initiatives. I look forward to Equinox contributing to the discussions during the conference as well as the ongoing conversations of the SIP Forum.” Registration for the SIPNOC 2016 conference is open at http://www.regonline.com/sipnoc2016.
