Bob Suda receives 2016 ACT-IAC Franke Award


CAMBRIDGE, Md., May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) presented the 2016 John J. Franke Award to Bob Suda, former Federal government senior executive and current President and CEO of Suda and Associates. This award is bestowed annually at the Management of Change (MOC) conference to a government employee who has made extraordinary and long-term contributions to creating a more effective, innovative and responsive government.

Mr. Suda is a career public servant who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving government and support for a strong public-private partnership. He had a long and distinguished career as a senior executive at GSA, Agriculture and the Department of Transportation. In every position he demonstrated a commitment to the highest levels of public service. He has also been an active and long-term supporter of collaboration both within and outside government. As a long-time member of ACT-IAC Mr. Suda has participated in a wide range of activities, including service on the ACT Board of Directors. He continued his involvement upon leaving government and is now completing four years on the IAC Executive Committee as Vice Chair for Finance. 

Throughout his career Mr. Suda has served as a mentor to many in government. He is also a strong supporter of America's troops and remains and participates in a number of activities dedicated to supporting veterans, especially woundd warriors. He is – the capstone contribution of a long-time career in Federal service. ACT President Margie Graves stated, "We believe that Bob exemplifies the standards and commitment demonstrated by John J. The IAC Executive Committee announced its new leadership while at the Management of Change conference. In accordance with the IAC bylaws, an election was held to select new members of the IAC Executive Committee effective July 1. As a result of the election, Marty Cummings (Integrated Support Systems) will return for a second term as Vice Chair at Large. New Vice Chairs at Large are Kathy Conrad (Accenture Federal Services), Jackie Everett (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) and Sundar Vaidyanathan (Karsun Solutions). Current IAC Executive Committee member Paul Strasser will assume the position of Vice Chair of Finance. Elected to the position of Executive Vice Chair (and assuming the position of IAC Chair in 2017) is Mitzi Mead (Accela Consulting). On July 1 Dave McClure (Veris Group) will become IAC Chair.
