Archer Norris Named to The National Law Journal's Midsize Hot List for Second Consecutive Year

The National Law Journal has named Archer Norris to its prestigious 2016 Midsize Hot List recognizing the firm's creativity and skill to stay competitive in courtrooms and at deal tables across the U.S., often against much larger firms. It is the second year in a row Archer Norris has landed a coveted spot on the list.

The 2016 Midsize Hot List is comprised of 20 firms ranging in size from 51 to 150 lawyers across the nation that demonstrated creative strategies during calendar year 2015 which keep them competitive against much larger law firms.

Among the achievements contributing to Archer Norris's selection was its strengthened position as a thought leader in California business litigation. The firm conducted an extensive survey of corporate counsel with business interests in California, analyzed the data, and published a first-of-its-kind white paper, "The California Business Litigation Playbook." The firm also established and developed a sophisticated a rel="nofollow" href="http://cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.archernorris.com%2FPractices%2FLitigation%2Fgreek-org&esheet=51348401&newsitemid=20160523006480&lan=en-US&anchor=Greek+Organization+Litigation+Practice+GroupSM&index=3&md5=9aaf46276bdad0901e62508a60651f22" rel="nofollow">Greek Organization Litigation Practice GroupSM, becoming the only law firm in the country with a practice committed to defending fraternities and sororities nationwide. Archer Norris's substantial wins in 2015 included a verdict in favor of long-standing client Foster Farms, in which a plaintiff sued for nearly $8 million in economic damages and $50 million for pain and suffering, claiming that the company's raw chicken meat contained Campylobacter, which triggered her Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

"Our continued inclusion in the The National Law Journal's Midsize Hotlist is a reflection of our enduring commitment to provide our increasingly sophisticated client base with innovative solutions and value at every turn," said Managing Partner Gene Blackard. "We're honored to appear among such a fine roster of leading midsize firms, and in particular to be named one of just five top firms in California."
