First PCI-compliant Email Service Launched

HOUSTON, May 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

Secure platform lets organizations meet the most stringent security standards

How can hotels and other organizations secure emails so that credit card data like hotel reservations remains confidential? That's a dilemma that many dealing with unsolicited mail worry about. With tougher Visa requirements and higher penalties within the EU, finding a PCI-accredited solution that removes emails from PCI scope has become a necessity.

The new ShieldQ document management service, by InterFAX, lets hotels and other organizations leverage email filtering -- available from most leading email servers (e.g., Microsoft Exchange), online services (e.g., Google Apps) and 3rd-party solutions (e.g., Symantec Mail Security) -- to securely route emails automatically to a unified, PCI-compliant document queue. Users can control access within a group, automatically or manually distributing the emails only to authorized users. Easy naming, customized tagging and archiving tools simplify retrieval and storage.

Full accredited by a certified QSA, ShieldQ meets all PCI DSS requirements for anyone who wants to remove emails from PCI scope.

"For the first time ever, hotels and other organizations can be 100% compliant, using a fully audited range of security solutions," said ShieldQ Director of Sales Geoff Milton.

"With ShieldQ, organizations handling sensitive data gain peace of mind, knowing that they remain out of PCI scope. For example, all email, fax bookings, scanned images and documents that hotel staff send, or hotel website bookings sent via desktop or mobile device, are uploaded directly to a secure queue."

ShieldQ will be demonstrated at HITEC, InterFAX booth #921, June 20-23, 201, Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA.
