More than 11,000 Attendees to "Experience the Service Revolution" at Knowledge16

KNOWLEDGE16 - ServiceNow (NYSE:NOW), the enterprise cloud company, this week kicks off its annual global conference, Knowledge16®, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. In its tenth year, the Knowledge16 conference has grown to become the industry's landmark gathering of service management professionals using cloud services to change the way people work. At the end of the week, the company will welcome 3,000 professional and IT developers to its second-annual developer conference, CreatorCon.

This year's Knowledge event is expected to attract more than 11,000 attendees, coming from every corner of the enterprise. The service experience is now essential to every department, from IT and shared services, to security, customer service, HR, facilities, application development and more. From executives to business process owners and system administrators, Knowledge has become the industry conference to learn, share and experience - service.

The service revolution is happening now - it is redefining how we engage with each other and everything around us. The everyday things we rely on in our personal lives are morphing into technology-enabled services. Entire enterprises are transforming into a collection of integrated services. The way we work is becoming less about reacting to the next inbox message and more about the user experience. And it is all fueled by a common service model - delivered in the cloud.

"The significant growth of this event over the last decade shows the increasing role service management has in every organization across an enterprise," said Beth White, chief marketing officer, ServiceNow. "It's no longer just about standards and process, but about fundamentally changing the experience we have at work - to make work life more life-like."

Nearly 90 percent of the 200 sessions this year are presented by ServiceNow customers, such as NASA, ING Group and Baylor Scott & White Health. More than 25 percent of breakout sessions are dedicated to service management outside of IT.

Event Highlights

  • General Session Keynotes:
    • "Experience The Service Revolution (News - Alert)" - Frank Slootman, ServiceNow president and chief executive officer, presents Tuesday, May 17, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Pacific. We don't give it second thought. At work, it's a different story. Slootman will show us how work life can be transformed to meet, even exceed, the service standards outside of the workplace. A life where users are delighted by instant collaboration and real-time notifications. Where issues are proactively resolved. And service levels are predictable. A world that changes the way we work.
