More than 11,000 Attendees to "Experience the Service Revolution" at Knowledge16
KNOWLEDGE16 - ServiceNow (NYSE:NOW),
the enterprise cloud company, this week kicks off its annual global
conference, Knowledge16®,
at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. In its tenth year,
the Knowledge16 conference has grown to become the industry's landmark
gathering of service management professionals using cloud services to
change the way people work. At the end of the week, the company will
welcome 3,000 professional and IT developers to its second-annual
developer conference, CreatorCon.
This year's Knowledge event is expected to attract more than 11,000
attendees, coming from every corner of the enterprise. The service
experience is now essential to every department, from IT and shared
services, to security, customer service, HR, facilities, application
development and more. From executives to business process owners and
system administrators, Knowledge has become the industry conference to
learn, share and experience - service.
The service revolution is happening now - it is redefining how we engage
with each other and everything around us. The everyday things we rely on
in our personal lives are morphing into technology-enabled services.
Entire enterprises are transforming into a collection of integrated
services. The way we work is becoming less about reacting to the next
inbox message and more about the user experience. And it is all fueled
by a common service model - delivered in the cloud.
"The significant growth of this event over the last decade shows the
increasing role service management has in every organization across an
enterprise," said Beth White, chief marketing officer, ServiceNow. "It's
no longer just about standards and process, but about fundamentally
changing the experience we have at work - to make work life more
life-like."
Nearly 90 percent of the 200 sessions this year are presented by
ServiceNow customers, such as NASA,
ING
Group and Baylor Scott & White Health. More than 25 percent of
breakout sessions are dedicated to service management outside of IT.
Event Highlights
-
General Session Keynotes:
-
"Experience The Service Revolution (News - Alert)" - Frank Slootman,
ServiceNow president and chief executive officer, presents Tuesday,
May 17, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Pacific. The world of service is
changing - and the experience is front and center. We see
this in our personal lives where we rely on, and enjoy, a slew of
technology-enabled services. We don't give it second thought. At
work, it's a different story. Slootman will show us how work life
can be transformed to meet, even exceed, the service standards
outside of the workplace. A life where users are delighted by
instant collaboration and real-time notifications. Where issues
are proactively resolved. And service levels are predictable. A
world that changes the way we work.
-
"Drive the Service Revolution" - Dan McGee (News - Alert), ServiceNow
chief operating officer, presents Wednesday, May 18, 8 to 9:30
a.m. Pacific. All this talk about the service
experience affecting work productivity begs the question -
how can enterprises make it happen? McGee will show how to bring
the intuitive, connected experience to life. Learn how everyone in
your company really can work together, through a single system of
engagement. Where services are orchestrated across the
enterprise, on a single platform. And applications are
purpose-built for the cloud, with one user interface. Everyday
work is collaborative and predictive. And your work environment is
secure, scalable and available anywhere, anytime.
-
"Enable The Service Revolution" at the Second-Annual CreatorCon
Developer Conference - Pat Casey, ServiceNow senior
vice president, Development Operations, and ServiceNow Founder and
Chief Product Officer, Fred Luddy, present Thursday, May
19, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Pacific. The service revolution is
transforming every function and industry. It is being driven by
applications that solve real business problems through experiences
that users love. Attendees will learn how to create applications
that are modern, mobile, simple and delightful. Consumer-like
portals that can be created quickly and easily. In an environment
