Parks Associates Research Reveals the Connected Garage Door Is Most Frequently Used Smart Home DeviceELMHURST, Ill., May 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chamberlain Group, Inc. shares new research today revealing the garage door opener is today's most active and frequently used smart home device. Extensive research by Parks Associates reveals the connected garage is used more often than smart thermostats, locks, lights and security cameras in the connected home. According to the data, 48% of smart home owners access their smart garage door daily through an app on their phone, followed by smart door locks (44%), network security cameras (42%), and smart thermostat owners (33%).
