CR8 Continuous SQL to NoSQL Integration From DBS-H Now Supports Hadoop

JERUSALEM, May 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

DBS-H Ltd., a leading developer of continuous, near real-time, SQL to NoSQL data integration software announces its expansion of its CR8™ product to support the Hadoop ecosystem. CR8™ specializes in capturing SQL based transactions from the transaction logs, analyzing and enriching these transactions and then writing the update to a wide range of targets.

With the new release, CR8™ can continuously stream database updates to HBase, HDFS or Kafka, depending upon the business need. This is added to existing support for targets including MongoDB, JMS queues, Google and Amazon S3 Cloud Storage. CR8™ is capable of reading transactions from Oracle, MS SQL Server and Ingres databases with DB2 soon to be released.

With the overall Big Data market estimated to reach $41.5 billion by 2018 and data integration comprising an stimated 15% of that market, it is clear that there is an ongoing and growing need for innovative technology that will help bring existing and new data sources together.

"Organizations are looking for ways to leverage technical innovation and Big Data to survive in today's competitive world but their existing data is locked in legacy systems," says DBS-H CEO, Amos Shaltiel. "CR8™ removes this obstacle by unlocking this data while reducing the need for cumbersome ETL's by streaming the SQL based data to new technology platforms in near real-time where it can be used for operational insights and on-the-spot analytics. In the future," Shaltiel adds, "we plan to integrate with more tools such as Apache Atlas in order to enable a wide range of data security oriented use cases."
