Show Floor Additions Reflect Top Trends in Tech at CES Asia™ 2016

The second annual CES Asia™ 2016 will feature new show floor highlights, including Startup Park, a Drone Demo Area, outdoor exhibits, a dedicated hall for vehicle technology, the N4 Stage and more, including more than 350 exhibiting companies from 23 countries, regions and territories. Covering four halls of exhibit space, compared to two in 2015, the CES (News - Alert) Asia show floor is poised to be packed with today's hottest consumer technology trends. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, and co-produced by Intex Shanghai, this year's show will run May 11-13, 2016, in Shanghai, China.

"Influential brands come to CES Asia to launch new products into the Asian market. From tech powerhouses to innovative startups, manufacturers, developers and suppliers - they will all be here to create strong business relationships within both new and existing industries," said Gary Shapiro (News - Alert), president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association. "In our second year, the show floor expansion is vast both in terms of size and scope. We have really focused in on what businesses need to succeed in this industry and that's partnerships. One of the biggest shifts in business today is that large companies are partnering with small companies to diversify and strengthen their brands. With that in mind, we have added exhibitor showcases and marketplaces to our show floor to help companies identify partnership opportunities."

Startup Park (SNIEC, Hall N4) - A brand new destination to showcase new products, services and ideas from startups looking for exposure in the Asian market. This designated area on the show floor will feature the latest in emerging technologies and house 50 startups with exhibitors from China, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, UK and the United States. Several startup organization partners will be present on-site, including EnchantVC (Singapore), French Tech (France), HardwarePro (UK) and Shenzhen Electronics Industry Association (China).

"We look forward to CES Asia 2016, as this will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase our product in the Asian market," said Saketaram Soussilane, CEO of Meo (SNIEC, Hall N4, Booth #4133), based in Hong Kong. "The show is the best way to promote 'blue, your portable and personal air quality guide' where it is most needed."

Building on the continued success of global CES events, including CES Unveiled Paris, and the vibrant startup market in France, will be French Tech, a featured section of the show floor welcoming 21 French startups. EnchantVC is bringing ten startups from Singapore and HardwarePro bringing ten startups from the UK.

CES Asia will cover three key themes: connectivity, innovation and the Internet of Things (IoT). The show floor will feature 15 product categories to tell the story of consumer tech trends across both traditional and emerging industries including: 3D printing, health, robotics, smart home, sports and fitness, vehicle technology, wearables and more.

"It is a great privilege for 3M (News - Alert) to participate in CES Asia 2016, where we are proud to launch the brand new 65'' Projected Capacitive touch system," said Zhu Gu, General Manager of the Display Material & System Division at 3M China Ltd. (SNIEC, Hall N1, Booth #1360). "CES Asia is an excellent platform for technical communication and 3M is very honored to present the leading technology of the large format Projected Capacitive touch system, made by metal mesh, to the Asian audience."

Outdoor Exhibits - For the first time at CES Asia, Continental Automotive Holding Co., Ltd. and BMW will have outdoor exhibits in front of Halls N3 and N4 to give attendees a test drive experience from SNIEC to the streets.

"There is no doubt that participating in CES Asia 2016 will significantly increase our company name awareness and product value," said Victor Sun, CEO, Shadow Creator Information Technology Co., Ltd. (SNIEC, Hall N2, Booth #2584). "We welcome CES Asia attendees to try on our Air Glass, which are AR intelligent glasses with holographic imaging and binocular displays.
