iCIMS Celebrates Arbor Day with "Go Green" CampaignMATAWAN, N.J., April 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- At a time when trees are being felled for commercial and residential expansions in the Garden State, local companies, such as iCIMS, Inc., are looking to make a difference and help maintain the beauty of natural landscapes to this shoreline state. To celebrate Arbor Day, iCIMS, a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition solutions, announced its "Go Green" campaign through a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation and in 2016 will be supporting the New Jersey Tree Recovery campaign. iCIMS will be teaming with the foundation to focus on the reforestation efforts of America. This year, trees planted will support homeowners and communities who lost their urban canopy in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. To express its dedication with helping create a cleaner and healthier environment, iCIMS has hired a full-time resource who will focus specifically on driving green initiatives. iCIMS employees have already participated in a number of initiatives this spring and will continue efforts throughout the year, including:
The Arbor Day Foundation's New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign is a partnership of Gov. Chris Christie's administration and the New Jersey State Forest Service. The program will reach 145 municipalities across the state and is expected to distribute about 102,000 tree seedlings during its run through May 15. The seedlings will come from the State Forest Nursery in Jackson and will include oaks, maples, dogwoods and 35 other species of trees. This is the third year that the organization has been working on its mission to replace trees that were destroyed or crippled by the strong winds of the October 2012 superstorm. "Trees are assets to a community when properly planted and maintained," said Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day Foundation. "They help to improve the visual appeal of a neighborhood or shopping district, increase property values, reduce home cooling costs, remove air pollutants, and provide wildlife habitat, among many other benefits. We thank iCIMS for their support of the Community Tree Recovery program and for promoting tree planting as part of their Arbor Day celebration."
