iQor Passes Final Audit for ISO/IEC 17025 Technical Certification


iQor, a global provider of integrated customer and product support services, today announced that it has met all criteria for ISO/IEC (News - Alert) 17025 certification and expects formal accreditation by mid-summer 2016. The internationally recognized technical certification has been called the single most important standard for testing laboratories today.

"We elected to pursue accreditation to this international standard to continue our growth and demonstrate competency as a world-class provider of failure analysis testing," says Hartmut Liebel, iQor's (News - Alert) CEO. "I know of no other product diagnostics and repair services company that has this advantage."

"This certification is a game-changer," adds Thomas Erkens, iQor Quality and FA Manager. "It means we can now offer OEMs a full spectrum of technical services throughout the life of their product, from new product validation through aftermarket repairs and ongoing reliability testing. And because test data from accredited labs is recognized across national borders, our clients will save the costs and time of retesting in different countrie."



iQor opened its Failure Analysis Lab in Memphis, TN, in 2011. Presently the lab focuses on analysis in support of repair and product reliability, repairing set-top boxes and media/entertainment devices for leading telecommunications OEMs, returning them to a better-than-new standard. iQor invested $2 million in state-of-the-art equipment to test and analyze the effects of extreme temperatures, humidity, vibration, impact and other factors on product life and quality.

The certification is jointly issued by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The accreditation body is the Laboratory Accreditation Bureau (L.A.B.).
