KMM and VFP Join Forces to Execute National Solar Power ProjectFAIRFIELD, N.J., April 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- KMM, a leading provider of logistics and network services to the U.S. communications industry, has teamed up with VFP Inc., a global shelter manufacturer and equipment integrator, to support a national renewable energy project. The duo is working in unison to deliver a customized solution that involves the design and integration of solar power generation plants on behalf of a large Solar Equipment provider. "With so many moving parts to this project we knew it was critical to partner with a company that had a broad scope of capabilities, so that we could focus on what we do best - design, engineer and manufacture the equipment," explained Scott File, VFP Senior Vice President. "We tapped KMM for their logistics and integration expertise and for their strong presence in the Western region of the U.S. We're currently tracking ahead of schedule, in large part because of KMM's unwavering commitment to the success of this project." KMM has allocated more than 100,000 sq. ft. of its National Distribution Center in Grapevine, TX to perform integration services on hundreds of VFP-manufactured skids. Each skid is approximately 34' in length, 8' wide, and weighs 35,000 pounds. Once a unit is deemed complete, it is subject to a rigorous quality inspection prior to being shippd. Since October 2015, more than 400 solar power generation plants have been successfully integrated and shipped out to the end user. "From day one, this partnership has been all about collaboration," said Nick Shanker, KMM President. "By leveraging KMM's skill, scale and portfolio and VFP's engineering and manufacturing capabilities and strong industry ties, we've been able to reach new markets and deliver a true end-to-end service offering that is currently unrivaled in the industry. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with VFP and to more projects such as this one that have far-reaching and positive impacts." KMM and VFP's exceptional performance has resulted in additional orders that will ensure production through to the end of 2016 and beyond. Separately, VFP continues to build and integrate skids for other opportunities located in the Eastern region of the U.S. About KMM About VFP Logo - http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20140123/CG50894LOGO
