"Clean Up" at Tekserve's eWaste Recycling Event for New Yorkers on April 30

Tekserve, a leading provider of technology solutions for creative professionals, is once again encouraging New York City residents to make its eWaste Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, April 30 part of their spring cleaning routine. In an ongoing series of recycling programs co-hosted with the Lower East Side Ecology Center (Ecology Center), the event will take place at the Tekserve retail store, located in Chelsea at 119 West 23rd Street in New York City, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

"In January, we kicked off our ninth year of partnering with the Ecology Center for this important ongoing program for New Yorkers and we're thrilled to be able to co-host another event," says Albert Garcia, Tekserve Retail Director. "With spring finally in the air, it is time to gather up the old technology piling up in closets and drawers and to get them recycled properly. We are proud to be an ongoing partner with the Ecology Center and for our combined efforts to provide our community with the opportunity to safely, legally and conveniently recycle their electronics for free."

As in events past, Tekserve will again be rewarding participants with the chance to get a special discount when shopping for a new Apple (News - Alert) device, fun accessory or in-store service. At the eWaste event, Tekserve is offering participants a coupon featuring $10 off a $50 purchase or service at Tekserve, or $20 off a $100 purchase or service. In addition, attendees can also receive an additional $5 off their purchase while redeeming their coupon if they show that they've checked in at Tekserve on Facebook (News - Alert) (www.facebook.com/Tekserve) or Yelp (News - Alert).

While the eWaste recycling drive is open to all unwanted electronics, Mac or PC (regardless if they were purchased at the Tekserve store or not), household appliances, such as microwaves and air conditioners, will not be accepted.
