TE Connectivity Senior Counsel Recognized For Supply Chain Conflict Minerals Excellence


SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, announced today that Jennifer Prisco, senior counsel to TE's Global Supply Chain, was recognized for a second year on Assent Compliance's list of the Top 100 Conflict Mineral Influence Leaders. Prisco was grouped this year in the top ten among leaders from global companies, human rights activists and government officials. She has led TE's Conflict Minerals Program since 2009 and oversees the company's Supplier Social Responsibility Program.

Conflict minerals include cassiterite (for tin), wolframite (for tungsten), coltan (for tantalite), and gold ore or their derivatives determined to be mined in areas of armed conflict or human rights abuses, or used to finance conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), under Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, requires companies to perform due diligence on the source and chain of custody of conflict minerals contained in their products.
