JDA Elects New Users Group OfficersJDA Software Group, Inc. today announced it has elected its new Users Group Officers, who will assume the positions of the current officers elected in 2014. The JDA Users Group manages the JDA Special Interest Groups (SIGs), whose goal is to foster an environment where active SIG participation maximizes customers' investment in JDA solutions, and enables members to grow both personally and professionally through collaboration with other retail and supply chain professionals. JDA congratulates its new Users Group Officers, who include:
"On behalf of the JDA Executive team, I'd like to thank our outgoing officers for all of their hard work and dedication to the Special Interest Groups," said Bal Dail, chairman and chief executive officer, JDA. "Greg Gries and George Frongillo have both served key leadership roles for the SIGs over their many years serving on the board, and we thank them for their commitment, leadership and expertise." Greg Gries, Perdue Farms Inc., has served as group vice president since the Manugistics acquisition in 2006. Greg brought a manufacturing background to the Executive Committee and helped us merge the Manugistics and JDA Users Groups. George Frongillo, Staples (News - Alert), Inc., has been group president since 2010. Under George's leadership, JDA has created a new mission statement for the SIGs, increased SIG marketing and participation, as well as increased communication with the JDA Executive Team. SIG elections are held every two years, with voting by all SIG members for elected positions. The role of the Users Group officers is to oversee the more than 40 SIGs across a range of solutions, from Intelligent Fulfillment, to workforce management, to floor planning and warehouse management. Each SIG is managed by a chairperson and a JDA associate who serves as SIG manager. The SIG officers are responsible for managing theSIGs, conducting regular meetings to discuss and update SIG goals, and quarterly meetings with SIG chairs and SIG managers to review goals and network in order to ensure SIG members gain the most value from their JDA investment. "The Special Interest Groups are critical to JDA, facilitating important two-way dialog between our customers and JDA. We are laser-focused on customer-centricity, and the SIGs give us yet another communications vehicle to understand what our customers want in future product versions, and their insight is incredibly value to the product development lifecycle at JDA," said Razat Gaurav, executive vice president and chief revenue officer, JDA. "Their input provided helps shape our solution priorities and roadmap, and at the same time, enables our customers to extract value from the collective experience of JDA product users and experts." JDA holds a variety of monthly SIG meetings that enable JDA software users to share their best practices and lessons learned. SIG groups create an environment of continuous learning in which JDA customers can maximize their investments in JDA solutions. SIG members also have the opportunity to provide vital feedback to JDA, and are often the first to learn of planned software enhancements and product direction. To join a SIG meeting, maintenance-paying users can register at the JDA Customer Support website (support.jda.com). Additional Resources:
