Arbor
Networks Inc., the security division of NETSCOUT (NASDAQ: NTCT),
today announced that the company will be at the 2016 Channel Partners
Conference & Expo being held March 16-19 in Las Vegas. Arbor Networks (News - Alert)
Principal Security Technologist Gary Sockrider will be serving as an
expert panelist in three speaking engagements at the show. Together, the
panels will help CISOs successfully sell the importance of security to
their boards, highlight the potential of security in the channel, and
provide advice to organizations looking to develop an IoT practice.
Gary
Sockrider is a principal security technologist at Arbor, and an
industry veteran with more than 25 years of broad technology experience
ranging from network security to routing and switching, data center,
mobility and collaboration. His previous roles include small and medium
enterprise security, consultancy, customer support, IT and product
management. Gary is passionate about understanding and conveying the
constantly evolving threat landscape, as well as the techniques and
solutions that address the challenges they present.
Panel Overview: Selling
Security as a Business Enabler Not only are your customers'
CISOs battling a skills shortage, they're fighting for budget and must
make the case that it's smarter to spend on security (read: cost center)
than a shiny new digital marketing initiative. Unless a company has been
burned, that's a tough sell. This session will provide tip to translate
security technology to the language of business enablement.
When: Wednesday, March 16; 2:00-2:45 p.m. Where:
Channel Partners Conference 2016 | Level 1, Galileo 901
Panel Overview: THE
BIG STAGE EVENT: Security & The Channel: Predictions & Possibilities A
panel of top security experts will share their outlook on the threat
landscape and how partners can add value by protecting the business. As
founder of a managed service provider that serviced casinos up and down
the strip, and now president of Effortless Office, moderator Benjamin
Gayheart knows the Las Vegas gambling industry inside and out. He'll
work with panelists to calculate the odds of an attacker running the
table on customers.
When: Wednesday, March 16; 5:30-6:30 p.m. Where:
Channel Partners Conference 2016 | Level 2, Hall B, Booth #568
Panel Overview: Defining
the Practice: IoT If you wait for the Internet of Things to
go mainstream, you'll be way behind the curve because there's a lot to
get your arms around - think connectivity, physical and cybersecurity,
data analytics, storage, management and automation, and application
enablement. This session will offer guidance for partners looking to
develop IoT practices.
When: Thursday, March 17; 10:35-11:20 a.m. Where:
Channel Partners Conference 2016 | Level 1, Marco Polo 701
