Touchjet Named Finalist for the 2016 Edison Awards


SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Touchjet, the first company to create interactive Android touch technology on a large and portable scale, has been named a 2016 award finalist by the internationally renowned Edison Awards™ for its innovative touch products. The distinguished awards, inspired by Thomas Edison's persistence and inventiveness, honor the most innovative, creative and ingenious products and business leaders in the world.

Touchjet's first product, the Touchjet Pond Projector™, turns any flat surface (wall, ceiling, floor) into an interactive Android touchscreen up to 80" so families, professionals and educators can display and interact with any of the hundreds of thousands of Android apps on a large touchscreen. It had one of the most successful Indiegogo campaigns in history (top 20), securing more than $800k in funding in 2014. It launched in May 2015. The product is being well received by Touchjet's customers, as a recent survey showed that 70 percent of users strongly recommend the product and are mainly using it for streaming content, business presentations, collaborative learning and playing games.

The company's second product,the Touchjet WAVE™, turns any flatscreen TV or monitor into an Android touchscreen up to 80". The Indiegogo campaign for the WAVE launched in August and met its funding goal of $100,000 within 24 hours. It ended with $693,475 in funding on October 8, 2015.
