Frederickson Murri Introduces New Tax Software - CCH Axcess™ from Wolters Kluwer

Frederickson Murri took a bold step into the future recently by implementing Wolters Kluwer's complete CCH Axcess™ cloud-based tax preparation, compliance and firm management solution into their practice.

CCH (News - Alert) Axcess operates from a common core database - simplifying information sharing and providing the ability for users to enter client data only once. By leveraging all five CCH Axcess integrated modules: CCH Axcess Tax™, CCH Axcess Document™, CCH Axcess Workstream™, CCH Axcess Practice™ and CCH Axcess Portal™, Frederickson Murri and its staff quickly saw significant results - as well as a big boost in overall efficiency.

Firm employees can now instantly look at one screen in CCH Axcess and view every aspect of their client's history, including contact information, tax returns, planning documents, work-papers, interview notes, billing history and even meeting preferences. Previously, this would have entailed accessing multiple software systems as well as pulling paper files and manually searching them to answer client questions.

Frederickson Murri also cites the mobility of CCH Axcess as a key factor in making it easier to meet with clients outside the office.

"When we'd travel to an offsite meeting, we had a tremendous amount of paper files to lug around. The CCH Axcess Mobile applications allow us to travel to the client with only a laptop or an iPad. Using the app to connect with CCH Axcess Portal provides all client data at our fingertips and the planning sessions have become much more strategic and efficient," said firm president Scott S. Frederickson.

Another benefit that Frederickson Murri realized after introducing CCH Axcess was the immediate impact it had on creating greater flexibility for its staff. Firm founder, Scott H. Murri, quickly noticed the positive reaction from staffers - especially those who drive a long way to work.

"Moving to the integrated cloud-based system has allowed our employees to enjoy a better work-life balance," Murri said. "With some spending up to two hours commuting to the office, CCH Axcess has enabled some of our employees to work from home, spending that same two hours providing tax expertise instead of sitting in traffic."

According to Dave Shalit, CPA and Vice President of Product Management for Tax Solutions, Wolters Kluwer, Tax & Accounting, "Frederickson Murri is a prime example of how a firm can realize significant benefits by leveraging the entire CCH Axcess solution. We realize that transitioning to a new software solution is a significant decision and we're glad that Frederickson Murri chose to invest in their future by investing in CCH Axcess."

"We believe the CCH Axcess solution is the highest level of quality amongst Tax and Accounting Software providers. In order for Frederickson Murri to maximize quality to our clients we had to invest in CCH Axcess," said Frederickson.
